Udupi: Manipal College Of Nursing organizes Blood Donation drive

Udupi, Oct 3: As part of the ‘National Voluntary Blood Donation Day’ the Health and Social Welfare Committee of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal organized a Blood Donation drive on October at Blood Bank, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.

It was open to all. A total of 72 students, eight faculty from Manipal College of Nursing, and 10 staff from constitutent institutions volunteered to donate the blood and among them, after the initial screening 60 were eligible to donate.

The event was coordinated by the student chairperson of Health and Social Welfare Committee Anusha Varughese, 4th year BSc(N) and the secretary, Health and Social Welfare Committee, Nivya Binoy from 3rd year BSc(N), MCON under the guidance of Dr Melita Sheilini, assistant professor-Selection Grade, faculty advisor and Savitha Prabhu, assistant professor, faculty co-advisor, Health and Social Welfare Committee.
