Arunachal Chief Minister's Chopper Lands Safely
Itanagar, April 30 (IANS) A helicopter with Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu landed safely in Daporijo Saturday after going missing for a few hours, an official said.
The four-seater Pawan Hans chopper, which had gone missing after taking off from Tawang near the China border at 9.50 a.m., has landed safely at Daporijo in Subansiri district, the official said.
Everyone on board was safe, an official said.
Arunachal CM Dorjee Khandu’s Chopper goes Missing
Guwahati, Apr 30 (Agencies): Reports said on Saturday a Pawan Hans helicopter with Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu onboard has gone missing.
The chopper, which took off from Tawang at 9.50 am and was supposed to land in Itanagar at 11.30 am, is untraceable, sources said.
The A50 B-3 four-seater helicopter had two crew members and two passengers on board, including the CM.
The authorities have been put on alert and a search has been initiated.
It could not be established whether the chopper made any emergency landing en route.
The weather in Itanagar is reported to be fine.
The incident comes just days after another Pawan Hans helicopter crashed in Tawang on April 19, killing 17 people and injuring six.
