Udupi, Oct 6: Two days job fair will be organized by Udupi Grameena Buntara Sangha - Sabhabhavan Nirmana & Development Committee - Charitable Trust on October 8 and 9. The job fair will be held in Skill development centre, Asha Prakash Shetty convention centre, Udupi grameena buntara sangha da campus, Kunthalnagar, Manipura near Udupi.

Speaking at the press conference about the job fair Ashok Kumar, president said, “The skill development centre was founded a year ago, since its inception the center has successfully run both short-term and long-term skill development training programs for the area's farmers, students, and rural kids. This center's main goals are to encourage self-employment among rural residents, foster an entrepreneurial culture among them, and make it easier for people to find work at various businesses. Rural Development via Entrepreneurship is the catchphrase of the charitable trust. For the past 12 months the centre conducted short term skill development programs for 925 women and youth through quality resource people from various universities, experts from industries, practicing entrepreneurs and officials, one-month long term digital literacy training program for 100 women & youth through MICE, a reputed computer education institute with the support of All Cargo Logistics Ltd, Mumbai has been organized. Udupi Grameena Buntara Sangha Charitable Trust is a non- government sector organization which acts as imparting skill training for the rural women, Farmers, young people, and students can all be helped in their quest for self-employment or corporate employment” he said.

Guruprashanth Bhat, chairman of recruitment drive said, “There are around 500 job opportunities in various fields like Engineering, diploma, ITI, nursing, banking, law, sales and marketing, software, BPOs, manufacturing, office staff, finance etc.”.

Professor Divyarani Pradeep, programme director gave an explanation of the free registration procedure, organizations participating, She said, “Adecco is hiring for Amazon and Accenture, Reliance, Manipal Group, 99 Games, and a total of 25 big and small enterprises have registered. We have chosen reputable businesses to benefit young people in rural and urban areas as well as youth”.

The Udupi Grameena Buntara Sangha Charitable Trust established skill development centre has completed one year. The Job Fair is organized for recent engineering graduates, diploma, ITI, graduate candidates in management, science, the arts, computer application, PUC, SSLC, and various other skill-oriented candidates. Employers, new and experienced job seekers, and experts in all the aforementioned fields of study and expertise will be brought together by this placement drive. All the unemployed youth and women, final year students, those who appeared for the exams, 2 to 5 years experienced people can take the opportunity to attend the interview and try to get the job in good selected companies.

The Job Fair will be inaugurated on October 8. The programme will be inaugurated by Prakash Shetty, chairman of MRG Group in the presence of minister Sunil Kumar, Dr H S Ballal, pro chancellor MAHE Jayaprakash Hegde, Mattar Rarhnakar Hegde, Lalaji Mendon, MLA Kaup Raghupathi Bhat, MLA Udupi and others will accompany. Rama Naik, General Manager Canara Bank circle office Manipal and Ramesh Shetty, CMD of Steel Strong will be felicitated on the occasion.

The valedictory function will be held on October 9. Kota Srinivas Poojary, Minister Backward classes welfare department and social welfare and others will be the chief guests for the programme.

Vijith Shetty, treasurer of the trust Padmanab Hegde, secretary Hemanth Shetty, trustee, trustees Harish shetty, Gopal Shetty, Ninjoor Ramesh Shetty, Hareendra Shetty Korangrapady, Bhasker shetty, were present in the press conference.
