Beltangady/ Sullia, May 1: Several areas in the taluks witnessed heavy rains along with thunder and lightening on Saturday April 30 night.

India Subramanya area the sky was encircled with heavy clouds right from the morning and rains started pouring at around 5.00 pm. Heavy Thunder and lightening was also seen.

Owing to this, the electricity supply was hampered and telephone connections were damaged causing chaos and trouble. The rain water also was seen flowing out from potholes towards the main road.
