Bantwal, Oct 7: Punjalakatte police are intensely searching for the culprits who wrote a threatening writing supporting the now banned Popular Front of India (PFI) on Nayanadu Snehagiri road near Punjalakatte.

As the area where the writing is found to very remote, the investigation is a challenge for the cops. However, the police are investigating the matter in various angles.

As CCTV is not available on the road where the writing is found, the police department is facing a setback. The police have called some suspects to the station and interrogated them. They are also monitoring the movement of some people and are confident that the culprits will be apprehended soon.

SP Hrishikesh Sonawane visited the spot on October and held discussions with officials and staff in the police station. Sub inspector Suthesh K P and personnel of Punjalakatte police station are investigating further under the leadership of Beltangady circle inspector Shivakumar B.
