Udupi, Oct 7: The most-anticipated Dasara celebrations of Udupi district, the Uchila Dasara 2022, concluded here on a grand note. The immersion of Sharada Mata and Navadurga was held in a grand manner.
The procession began from Uchila Sri Mahalakshmi temple after performing pooja to the idols of Sharada and Navadurgas. The grand procession including more than 75 tableaus, tiger dance troupes and other cultural activities enthralled the audiences. Live singing concerts were also organized in the midst of the procession. The procession was carried till Hejamady toll gate and then back to Kaup beach lighthouse where the immersion of the idols took place.
Flowers were showered from a helicopter which became the main attraction.
A large number of devotees participated in the final day of the Navaratri festivities held in Uchila temple.
Lacs of devotees visited Uchila Mahalakshmi temple during the ten days of Navaratri. Mogaveera community of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada district participated wholeheartedly in the festivities.
