Mangaluru, Oct 7: Youth Red Cross society unit orientation and inauguration was held at Mangala College of Allied Health Sciences on October 7 in the college auditorium. The programme was inaugurated by Sacheth Suvarna, chairman District Youth Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada and Dr J N Bhat, Blood Bank Officer, Indian Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada. The orientation and inauguration programme commenced with a prayer song followed lighting of lamp by the dignitaries.

Vijetha Sheena Lecturer, programme officer and Sharanya lecturer, faculty member of Youth Red Cross Society Unit at Mangala college of Allied Health Sciences welcomed the dignitaries.
During the programme Sacheth Suvarna briefed about the history of YRC, the rules and regulation to be followed under the YRC unit. He also appreciated the college team for taking initiative about the creation of YRC unit in the college.

Dr J N Bhat congratulated the college and the faculty members of initiating, organizing and motivating the 142 students to take part and actively register them for the unit.
Vice principal professor Geethalaskshmi addressed the gathering.

The event was hosted by Abhineetha associate professor and faculty member of Youth Red Cross Society Unit at Mangala college of Allied Health Sciences.
