Kundapur, Oct 10: Manasa Devadiga and Nihal N Shetty of Excellent Pre University College Kundapur have been selected to represent Karnataka in national level chess competition. They had bagged second and fourth place in the state level chess competition held at Sri Basaveshwara composite Pre university college Bidadi Ramanagara representing Udupi district. The competition was held by the Pre university board for the PU students.

The national level competition will be held in Bhubaneswar of Odisha. Manasa Devadiga is currently studying in the first PUC in science. He is son of Sathish Devadiga and Shailaja. Nihal N Shetty is studying in the second PUC in the science section. He is the son of Narayana Shetty and Majula Shetty.

M. Mahesh Hegde, president, M M Hegde Education and Charitable Trust Dr Ramesh Shetty, principal and chairman, Sujnan Educational Trust, Prathapchandra Shetty, secretary and Bharath Shetty, treasurer have congratulated the students along with physical directors Sathish Kumar and Jayalatha for this achievement.
