Ajman, May 2: Body and Soul Health Club and Spa, a leisure and hospitality division of the Thumbay Group is an international leisure company dedicated to the pursuit of improved well being and lifestyle. It is the latest health club in line of expansion of Thumbay Group with the multi-facilities which are on par with the European standards of health clubs.

Chief guest of the evening Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman inaugurated Body and Soul Health Club and Spa and The Terrace Restaurant at the Gulf Medical University campus here in Sunday May 1. He was greeted and received by Thumbay Moideen, the founder president of Thumbay Group.

While presiding over the event Thumbay Moideen thanked the Crown Prince for consenting to be the chief guest of the all important event. He added, "Thumbay Group will always remain grateful to the ruling family of Ajman for their all time unconditional support extended to us for all the good causes as and when required. We assure that we shall strive our level best to live up to the aspirations of the Ruling Family of Ajman and the people of UAE."

He also added that as part of the Body and Soul Health Club and Spa expansion plans, a new branch will soon be established in Dubai. And in line of the expansion plan in Gulf Medical University campus, Body and Soul furnished apartments for the staff and the visiting faculties will soon be established.

As a token of appreciation the chief guest was presented with a special memento by Thumbay Moideen. Later, he along with the other members of the ruling family were escorted for a tour of the Health Club and Spa and to The Terrace Restaurant for high tea. The grand event was attended by important dignitaries, staff members, friends and relatives of the management of Thumbay Group. The audience was visually treated to different categories of weight lifting, strong man truck pull demonstration and display of 60 plus motor bikes.

The Crown Prince of Ajman unveiled the Body and Soul award winning motor bike. He awarded trophies and certificates to the winners of weight lifting in different categories. Ahmed Khamees Noori and Nabeel Abdul Karim Al Awadi were awarded with trophies for winning in the handicapped weight lifting category. Bike awards were presented for Jaguars Team, One Team, Street Fighter, UAE Falcon, UAE Chopper, Emirates Motor Plex. In the Sports Bike category, Best Sports Bike, Best Gold Wing Bike, Best Cruise Custom Bike, Best Yamaha Custom Bike, Best Custom Bike, Best Victory Bike, Best Street Fighter Bike, Best Sports Custom Bike were awarded prize winning trophies.

Khalid Al Hag adjudged and awarded as UAE’s strongest man stunned the audience by single-handedly pulling a 20 tonne truck.

Special awards were presented to Brigadier Saleh Saeed Al Matrooshi (Civil Defence), Abdul Karim Saeed, Mamood Mohd, Al Alawadi for their support in conducting the grand event.

The Health Club and Spa which is first of its kind in Ajman is one stop destination offering extensive sports, recreation, fitness, health, social and youth programs.

The Club with ample parking is located on the grounds of the Gulf Medical University, Al Jurf area with very easy access from Ajman, Sharjah and Northern Emirates. The newly opened restaurant located in the first floor of Body and Souls Health Club and Spa in the Gulf Medical University campus, Ajman with tennis view lounge has a spacious seating capacity of 90 covers. Boasting of specialized chefs, personalized service and set in a contemporary and delightful ambience of soft colors The Terrace specializes in catering signature multi-cuisines. Its products and menus are screened by a team of nutritionists and chefs to cater healthy and delicious food especially to the health conscious individuals.

Booking of meeting rooms, separate VIP rooms, 250 seats amphitheatre, lunch buffets, special arrangements for corporates, executive lunch meetings are meticulously organized by the management of the restaurant.
