There may or maybe not be any reason for the bank manager to commit suicide. May her soul RIP. A thorough investigation will reveal the truth.

RIP. Hopelessness is not Divine. When one dies body remains sooner or later to become dust but the body the box animating soul returns to God for judgement. God mostly accepts full of love, peace and courageous souls in their hearts at the time of death to heaven or unless someone or their loved ones earnestly praying for these souls which then land in a purification place. No prayers, bad karma no repentance then hell. One needs to seek divine blessings atleast half an morning and half an hour evening rather than spending their time in news or TV channels to get temporary peace. So always better to avoid suicides rather sit in prison for sometime for the mistakes or guilts than suffer eternally in the hell or charity is another option to overcome past mistakes, guilt feeling. (One workplace stress or harassment try to join other, may be one might get better post also.)

When seniors officials threaten & push their junior colleagues to the breaking point, this is the result. Shame on them. RIP poor soul & may the Lord punish the people who pushed her into taking such a drastic step !!!

Frustrated Banker Mangalore, when one is frustrated need not commit suicide.Simply leave the job ,or file a case on the person.Look for a new job where less stress is By committing suicide people who depend on you are too on the street. There is always a suitable answer to problems but only have to be strong and face it.May her soul rest in peace. When a woman is in a higher position ,naturally men try everything to throw her down. There she needs four shoulders to stand up.

Madam, i appreciate your thoughts and I suppose most bankers will agree with you. But the unfortunate few, who have nowhere else to go and have a family to look after cannot afford such a luxury. Even in the case of the deceased lady, just a day or two before she committed suicide, her branch was visited by a senior officer and she was insulted & reprimanded severely and threatened with a transfer by him. Everyone in the bank knows who he is, but no one has the guts to speak against him.

Frustrated Banker, you are right.A close relative of mine committed sucide or murdered few years back.He was sharing his problem with me but I couldn't relate and just consoled him . Few months later he died.Im sure he could've resigned and stayed at home. But family social pressure doesn't allow good people to follow that path. If you have any obligations situation is still worse.

Reason for suicide is not digestible . Exact reason maybe different. Public sector employee & the manager of the bank. who will pressurize her? Something is missing.

It's due to work pressure from her senior. She was my neighbour. She was very nice and calm lady. She couldn't handle the work pressure from senior.
