Mangaluru: Police arrest two on suspicious movements in wee hours

Mangaluru, Oct 15: Mangaluru East police have arrested Abdul Rahaman (32) of Kasargod and Vijay (32) of Sagar near a garage at Tarethota in the city for their suspicious movements.

The police were on their rounds on October 13 at about 2.45 am when they found two persons moving suspiciously. When they were quizzed, the two did not offer a proper response.

The police said they strongly suspected that the two were conspiring to perform an act of crime and hence took them into custody.

    We were roaming in wee hours during late 80s and never found any police patrolling in and around Udupi... But crime rate was also very negligible... Communal harmony was at its best... Now we have reverse situation... People are more desperate and more hungry...
