Kolkata, May 4 (IANS): Air India cancelled 11 flights from Kolkata as the strike by the airline's pilots continued for the eighth day Wednesday, an official said.
"We have drawn up a rescheduled roster of 10 flights. Seven have been operated and the other three will operate later in the day," an Air India spokesperson told IANS.
Two flights to Silchar and one each to Aizawl, Agartala, Shillong, Dimapur and Guwahati took off from here, he said. The flagship carrier operates on an average 21 daily flights from this metropolis.
The Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) pilots from the erstwhile Indian Airlines struck work April 26 midnight, demanding parity in pay with their counterparts in Air India.
