Mangaluru, Oct 19: 'Paper Student' is not about a student selling news paper as lot of people assume seeing the title whereas it is about a group of kids who share a bond of friendship. As there is an old saying 'Student Life is a Golden Life' and the friendship during one's student life would last forever if it is based on strong foundation of understanding.
But the same friendship can turn into a bitter one with misunderstanding and the entire relationship might turn into paper thin which could fall apart even due to slightest of wind, is the entire concept of the movie.
In the movie 'Paper Student', the makers have tried to explore beautiful moments of a group of teenagers sharing friendship based on trust and support. And through that journey, the obstacles they face, their struggles and how they overcome them which is the essence of the story.
The movie has tried to show the fun part of being a student and being a member of a fighting team who go through struggles and how they overcome the difficulties thrown at them.
The entire cast is of new comers. All the fresh faces have given their absolute best to bring their character to life.
Harshith Shetty and Gagan Alva are playing the male lead. Yashaswi Devadiga, Salome D'Souza and Deena are the female lead. Other cast members include Akarsh, Nireekshith, Sai Ram, Shabari, Shriya, Sachin Kumble, Manvi, Prasad Kumar, Ramya Sudhindra and others. As many as 152 members have acted in the movie.
There are five songs in the movie which have actually given so much depth to the narration of the movie. Lyrics are done by senior writer Sheena Nadoli and Deepthi Nikshit. Music is composed by Vinod Suvarna and Sheena Nadoli. Cinematography is handled by Mahabaleshwar Holla and editing is done by Subramanya Holla. Direction team includes Shailesh Devadiga, Prakash Bhanushali, Vinayak Baliga and Chethan Veeranagara.
The movie is written, directed and produced by Vadiraj K Uppoor under the banner of 'Pratham Film Productions'. 'Paper Student' is expected to hit the theatres in Karnataka, Mumbai, Gulf countries and other parts of the world in December.
