Mangalore, May 6: P Shivashankar, functioning as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat, has been transferred to Bangalore as the director of employment guarantee scheme.
He was working in the said post since October 15, 2008. A farewell function is being organized in this connection at the zilla panchayat premises on Monday May 9. In all likelihood, local city corporation commissioner, Dr K V Vijay Prakash, will take over charge of this post.
It is learnt that a number of people including J R Lobo, A B Ibrahim, P K Subbaiah, and Anjanappa, are interested to get this post. The government is yet to take a final decision on the official who will replace Shivashankar.
