Soldier from Kasargod dies in army helicopter crash at Arunachal Pradesh

Kasargod, Oct 22: A soldier, native of the district died in a army helicopter crash that took place at Arunachal Pradesh.

K V Ashwin (24), son of Ashokan and K V Kaushalya couple, residents of Chervathur Katuvalappu, is the unfortunate soldier, who died in the mishap.

An army officer conveyed the message to the family members of Ashwin. Ashwin had joined army as an engineer in the electrical and mechanical division four years ago. He had been to his native place on vacation a month ago.

An ultra-modern helicopter belonging to Indian army crashed at 10.45 am on Friday at Migling in Siyang village in Arunachal Pradesh. There were five on board. The mortal remains of four are recovered.

The mortal remains of Ashwin is expected to arrive to his native place in two days’ time, according to sources.
