Mangaluru: Son demolishes house, steals gold, cash - Elderly mother files complaint

Mangaluru, Oct 22: An elderly woman has filed complaint in Barke police station accusing her son of demolishing the house using JCB with the help of goondas and also stealing valuables.

Sunitha Janardhan (75), is the complainant. She lived with her son Deepak Sanil. As kitchen and toilet renovation work was going on in her house on October 16, both Sunitha and her son Deepak went to her daughter Sarita’s house for resting in the night. Meanwhile, Sudesh Sanil, one more son of complainant Sunitha brought an excavator, hired goons and demolished the whole house. He also took Rs 27,000 cash that was kept in the cupboard, two golden bangles weighing 24 grams and a golden chain weighing eight grams. In the process, he damaged all the household items.

In addition, Sunitha said in her complaint that her son Sudesh has issued threat on life of her son Deepak and daughter Sarita.

Barke police are investigating further.

    Yes ,mother petted her son too much ,gave more than enough,looked after well ,now result is seen .Make children self standing.Make aware of working self and earning their own money .otherwise some sit on the head and fight for money ,gold ,and house.Pity this mother.Instead of helping ,demolish house and steal gold ,money .He should shame himself.Now still not too late .go to mother and say sorry ,touch her feet and help her.give back what you have stolen.Ungrateful son.

    Demolition by JCB? People always lead by example. Governments set the example. Now people will do the same by taking law into their own hands. You began faking and lying. Now faking, lying, decieving has become the norm in India.

    a lot of planning before seizing the golden opportunity when renovation was being done; was this done during the day or night? possibly when the day's work was done and the rest of the family were together at her daughtr's son for the night.

    Mohan Prabhu Canada it matters little during night or day .But the fact itself to distroy ones mothers house make her homeless ,and to add steal her gold ,money whatever available makes one speechless and to think what else is left ?No thought of mother feeling ,grown in own home brought up by own mother .(Hope)and sleepless nights she offered to him, drank mothers milk has no value?He is not a small child but grown up man.How much courage and feelings she had to swallow down to go to police to file complain when no other option was there.
