Chikmagalur, May 6: Deputy commissioner of the district, DR N S Channappa Gowda, revealed that repairs to Datta Peetha caves will begin next week. He also said that all precautions will be taken to ensure that rain water does not enter the cave during the monsoon season, before beginning the work. He was addressing the media persons here on Thursday May 5.
He said that the repair works will be concluded before the next Dattamalaya Abhiyan, and that a technical team will inspect the spot within a couple of days to assess whether the work can be taken up now.
