Bharat Jodo Yatra to end in Karnataka on Oct 23; Congress thanks people for making it a success

Raichur, Oct 22 (IANS): As Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra is set to end in Karnataka on Sunday, the state unit of the party has thanked people for making the padayatra successful.

Karnataka Congress President D.K. Shivakumar on Saturday stated that the padayatra will cross the state at 11 a.m. Lakhs of people have participated in the padayatra across the state.

Youth, women and farmers have participated in the rally in large numbers. They have not seen anything political in this. Everyone has taken part to establish peace in the country, Shivakumar stated.

Like how people came all the way from far away places and villages to have one glimpse of late PM Indira Gandhi, they came to see her grandson Rahul Gandhi also during Bharat Jodo Yatra, Shivakumar explained.

"I congratulate all people who participated in padayatra. The padayatra is not religious or party. It is based on humanity," he said.

Whatever is said, Rahul Gandhi is the only leader in the country who has taken up the padayatra of 3,570 kilometres. He braved the tough weather marching ahead. This March is for bringing change, he said.

    Its astonishing to see how RAHUL manages to pull the reluctant crowd to mass movement.despite the odds of outright radio silence by most of the media(controlled by 2 tycoons) & relentless false propaganda by RSS-BJP & their militant orgs. but RAHUL fighting for people..ITS OUR FIGHT.. we've just outsourced to rahul, whether its price rise.. release of rape & murder convicts by BJP.. humiliating rank on hunger & poverty index.. all time collapse of indian rupee..millions of educated young fighting for few jobs... filthy richness of just few people at the cost of vast majority living in abject poverty.., for all these REAL issues feku gives answer by changing name of a city.. or unveiling yet another monument.. or delivering a thrilling speech with 1000 promises !! but RAHUL fights on just like david vs cruel & corrupt goliath or ravan , people may choose to comment either by extreme hatred or by admiration to this real life hero or join him in this ardous & non forgiving yatra. HE couldve chosen any cushy job in any country, it was his for asking! yet he choose this life, its beyond anyones understanding why on earth someone could do such an monumental sacrifice. this is REAL LIFE FAKIR not that metric failed fake one. my salute this man now & FOREVER.

    Readers, certainly a " Stupendous Achievement " for the " Bharat Jodo or Todo Yatra " in Karnataka.. Will this exercise propel RaGa as PM and Siddaramaiah as CM or will it be their last political innings in India ???

    We need a political party of order or stability, and a party of progress or reform, both of which are necessary elements of a healthy state of political life. And not a communal and minority and only concentrating on peoplce way of dressin, choice of food, wasting tax payers money on non related welfare and introducing non related issues by force

    Dear Flavian, Mangalore/Kuwait, The Government that fits your definition is already in place. Yes, they have not shown keen interest in Shadi Bhagya, Tippu Jayanthi, etc. But in all other aspects of definition, there is one in Bangalore as well in Delhi. Hoping for Rahul baba to reign supreme at Delhi is tantamount to wishing ill to the country. And hence the question, what is your problem? You want someone who can put a lid on anything rhyming with "indu" and celebrate the colorful concept that led to formation of East and West Pakistan and seal the deal by having another 2 in north and south?

    Compared to Advani's 1988-89 Ratha yatra - this Padayatra is 100 times successful and more meaning in Padayatra than travelling in Vehicle.
