Mangaluru, Oct 23: The Jeeni Millet mix team of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi under the guidance of Jimmy Joseph has fulfilled the dream of a women by restoring her house which was in a dilapidated state and that has truled turned out to be a Deepavali gift to her.

Padamavathi who is residing near Koddakal - Kannur has received Deepavali bonus from Jeeni in the form of a refurbished house. Padamavathi was residing with her grandson in a dilapidated house since a decade. She lived with no hopes left as they had to face difficultly every single day and had a tough time the day ahead.

Padmavathi has three children, among which two girls have been married off and a son, who passed away due to ill health. Both her daughters are economically unstable. Padmavathi's grandson Adithya lives with her after his dad and mother both passed away. Adithya decided to drop out of school due to condition of the family. He started working in a hotel at State Bank where Padmavathi used to work.

Padmavathi used to pray to the deity for some hope in their life, for better living and for protection due to the condition of her house. The condition of the house was so pathetic that the roof, which was on the verge of collapsing, was covered with tarpaulin as it was leaking during monsoon months posing a lot of challenge for her and grandson on a daily basis.

Marketing head of Jeeni, Jimmy Joseph said, “Padamavathi was our customer for a long time. She used to buy our product from a shop. All of a sudden she stopped buying our product. Our staff Lathish visited her house during the month of August to hand over the product. Lathish remained shell shocked looking at the condition of her house."

“Lathish brought this to our notice which was later discussed with our owner Dilip Kumar on what can be done to help our customer. On one day in September the team of Jeeni from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada decided to take up restoration work of her house and give hope to her,” said Jimmy Joseph.

During the last one and a half months, the team of Jeeni has taken entire responsibility of restoring the house. Roof, tiles, painting, door and floor work was done thus changing the entire look of her house.

Padmavathi became emotional during her house warming ceremony that took place on October 21 in the presence of Jeeni team, actor Bojraj Vamanjoor.

Padmavathi said, “The Jeeni team has come forward to help me in the form of god and I will never forget this help till my last breath. It feels so good to enter this house and celebrate Deepavali with a broad smile.

Bravo! Such a heartwarming wonderful story of good samaritans, who have come together to lend a helping hand. Such acts of kindness are blessed and I hope the lady will continue to patronize Jeeni. Great CSR too and we appreciate the kindness of the Jeeni owner as well.
