Meenakshi is a daily wager. It is said that two days ago while she was collecting dry wooden sticks on a road leading to the plot of Mahabala Alva this incident occurred.

A swarm of wasps in the wood she collected reportedly stung her. Immediately, to escape from the bites of insects, she moved to the residence of Mahabala Alva. Later, she was rushed to a private hospital in Deralakatte. However, she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last.

Very sad may her soul rest in peace. The Central government claims to have given free LPG connection and free stove to BPL households under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Very sad the lady was collecting sticks in the woods. Only giving false claims by the double engine government.

I deeply empathize with departed soul; feel ashamed that in and around the so called "Smart City" people like "Meenakshi" have to roam around to collect "TWIGS" to be used as firewood; shudder to think about interior areas!! And our governance is in denial mode when confronted with our ranking in GHI!!
