Sullia: Man shoots himself in attempt to end life, critically injured

Sullia, Oct 25: A man was critically injured as he shot himself in a bid to end his life at his home on Monday October 24.

Keshava Prabhu (60), a resident of Jattipalla of Kasaba village of the taluk is the person who attemoeted to take the extreme step on Monday. A seriously injured Prabhu was first taken to Sullia government hospital and later shifted to a private hospital at Mangaluru for advanced treatment.

Sullia sub inspector Dileep visited the hospital at Sullia and later to Prabhu’s house. It is said that Prabhu shot himself from his country pistol over some personal issue.

A case is registered against Prabhu for possessing unlicensed country pistol. Sullia police are probing further.

    If he is a "Deshbhakt" he must also be a Andhbhakt. But he is wearing normal eyeglasses and not black glasses. The well known families with the same surname live in the heart of Sullia town and they are highly respected and have contibuted immensely towards the betterment of the people of the locality. I really hope that this gentleman who took this extreme step has nothing to do with those fine families. I only wish and pray that he recovers fully and has his problems solved as well.
