Mumbai: Cow, calf of ancient breed Holigir welcomed at Gokula Mandira

Mumbai, Oct 26: A special pooja for cows was held at the Gokula Mandira renovated by BSKBA and Gopalakrishna Public trust on October 25.

BSKBA president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel, first lady Vijayalaxmi Suresh Rao, Gopalakrishna Public trust trustee Madhusoodan Agarwal and Mamatha Madhusoodan welcomed the cow and calf of ancient breed Holigir donated by Madhusoodan Agarwal, Mamatha Agarwal and trustee Anil Gupta.

Chief priest Vedamurthi Srinivas Bhat conducted the rituals and blessed the cow and the calf. Priest Gopala Bhat Kidiyoor performed Gopooja. The donors of the cow and calf were felicitated.

BSKBA secretary A P K Pothi, GPT secretary trustee S Ramavittal Kalluraya, trustee B Ramananda Rao, ladies wing president Sahana A Pothi, Vinodini Rao, K Rajarama Acharya, Krishna Manjarabettu and BSKBA members were present.
