Maharashtra Governor Koshyari presents 'Garhwal Post' Silver Jubilee Awards


Mumbai (RBI), Oct 26: Stars of Indian Film Industry descend on Raj Bhavan for the awards function.

Personalities from film industry, literature, art, culture and administration honoured' Ramesh Sippy, Manisha Koirala, Kabir Bedi, Vishal Bharadwaj, Himani Shivpuri, Anil Sharma honoured' Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today presented the 'Garhwal Post' Silver Jubilee Life Time Achievement Award to renowned filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, Vishal Bharadwaj, Actor Kabir Bedi, Manisha Koirala, Himani Shivpuri, Rekha Bharadwaj, Vijay Kumar Dhawan, Anil Sharma and senior bureaucrat Sanjeev Chopra for their multifarious contributions to society. The Governor also presented the 'Garhwal Post' Annual Awards and the 'Garhwal PostSilver Jubilee Awards.

The Awards function was organised by English Daily 'Garhwal Post' published from Dehradun on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of its establishment. The Awards function was attended by Uttarakhand Minister of Health and Education Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, Garhwal Post editor Satish Sharma, his father Upendra Sharma, Screenplay writer Bharat Kukreti, Kiran Juneja, Priti Walia and others.

Director, Actor Tigmanshu Dhulia, actor Divya Datta, Anjali Nauriyal, Aalok Ulfat, Sudhanshu Pandey, Shivangi Joshi, Colvin James Harris, Varun Badola, Hemant Pandey, Rakesh Dave, Welham Boys School Principal Sangita Kain, publicist Yogesh Lakhani, entrepreneur Rakesh Bhatt, actor Aayesha Negi, Vikram Makandar, Dinesh Mansera, Adv Deepak Kumar, Ishteyak Khan, Shehzad Khan etc.were also felicitated.

Governor Koshyari congratulated the 'Garhwal Post' for bringing out the daily from Dehradun with dedication for the last 25 years.

Satish Sharma delivered the welcome address while Priya Malik delivered a vote of thanks.
