Mangaluru, Oct 27: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly strangled his wife to death before ending his life. The incident is reported under Ullal police station limits on Thursday October 27.

The deceased are identified as Shobha Poojary (45) and Shivananda Poojary (55), residents of Pilar.

It is learnt, Shobha's son Karthik had called his mother on her phone at around 12 noon on Thursday. As she did not receive the call, he called up the neighbour. When neighbour Shakunthala Shetty visited Karthik’s house, Shobha was found dead in her bedroom.

Shakunthala immediately informed the incident to her family members. It later came to light that Shivananda also had ended his life by hanging from a tree branch nearby.

In a marriage there can be problems But all of the problems can be solved through dialogue and proper counselling resorting to violence and killing is a stupid act. Now adays there are legal provisions for divorce also. I feel sad when such things happen in married couple/. There is no problem in earth that cannot be solved through dialogue and proper communication. Elders and social workers must come forward and help the people to solve the issues in marriage I feel
