Kundapur, Oct 28: Kotikanta Gayana (continuous singing) is being held across Karnataka state. Kundapur B B Hegde college students performed the Kotikanta Gayana programme in between the picturesque surroundings of Maravanthe seashore and Souparnika river side and held by Udupi BJP Yuva Morcha.
The programme was inaugurated by MLA B M Sukumar Shetty. Akshay Badamane, Vijaya Laxmi, Mettina Hole and Abhishek Badamane sang the songs along with about 200 students.
District BJP Yuva Morcha president Vikhyat Shetty, district chief secretary Sharath Shetty Uppunda, Byndoor Mandala president Deepak Kumar Shetty, Udupi district Yuva Morcha secretary Abhiraj Suvarna, Byndoor Mandala chief secretary Priyadarshini Devadiga, Byndoor ladies morcha president Bhagirathi Suresh, Byndoor taluk panchayat former vice president Malini K, Kundapur taluk panchayat former president Shamala Kunder, Ladies mandala chief secretary Deepa Shetty, B B Hegde college vice principal Chetan Shetty Kovadi, lecturer Pravin Mogaveera Gangolli, N S S assistant project officer Deepa Poojary and students were present.
Kotikanta Gayana programme was also held at the Gandhi maidan here by the district administration, municipal council, various government departments and local groups and organisations as part of 67th Karnataka Rajyotsava on October 28.
