Mangaluru: ‘DE-LIGHTS 2k22’- The Spark of Happiness celebrated at Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Oct 30: Srinivas University Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism and Department of Interior Design organised “DE-LIGHTS 2k22”-The Spark of Happiness on October 28.

Under guidance and blessings of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University, the festival was inaugurated by the president of the programme Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro chancellor, Srinivas University. A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, trustee-member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University and Prof Er A Mitra S Rao, trustee-member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University were the chief guests. Dr P S Aithal, vice chancellor, Srinivas University was the guest of honour of the programme. Prof Swaminathan S, dean, Srinivas University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism and other faculty members were present on the occasion.

The welcome speech was delivered by Arya Savan Shirodkar of IV Year BHMCT and vote thanks was proposed by Prem Kiran D’Souza of II Year BSc.ID. The programme was compered by Tanmay Bhadbhuje of II Year Bsc.HM

The students celebrated the festival with great joy and ethos by lighting oil lamps all over the campus, fireworks and bursting of crackers. The other highlights of the celebration were various traditional food items. Cultural and instrumental programmes were also performed and exhibited by the students.
