Byndoor, Oct 30: Udupi district skills development officer Arun Prabhu called upon students to make use of good employment opportunities available and achieve progress in a dynamic manner.
He was speaking after inaugurating the jobs mela on Sunday at the Nandanavana-Pragyna Sagar Hall held under the auspices of Sri Varalakshmi Charitable Trust and industrialist Dr Govinda Babu Poojary in Uppanda.
Presiding over the programme, Dr Govinda Babu Poojary, managing trustee of the Sri Varalakshmi Charitable Trust he said a lot of work has been done in education, health and infrastructure sectors under the trust. He said now by organising a jobs mela the trust has taken the responsibility to fulfill the dreams of students in getting suitable employment.
Sundara Bharat Trust chairman Pratap Parashat and Byndoor Tahsildar Srikanth Hegde were present. Teacher Subramanya Uppanda compered the programme.
More than 30 companies participated in the jobs mela and more than 3,000 students had registered their names in the mela.
