Oct 30: Dakshina Kannada reports five Covid cases, one infection in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 30: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, October 30, reported five new coronavirus cases while one case were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,156, out of which 11 are currently active. No patients were discharged on October 30.

No deaths were reported on October 30. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.91 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One coronavirus case was reported on October 30. The total active Covid cases are 9.

A total of 10,90,815 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,990 have received both doses and 2,97,301 people have received booster doses.

Udupi taluk reported one case which was symptomatic.
