Sullia, May 9: Relating to the ghastly murder of Ramakrishna A S (48), administrative officer of K V G Medical College here, on the night of April 28 by motor bike-born assailants with sharp weapons, the personnel of Dakshina Kannada district criminal intelligence bureau have reportedly taken three persons into custody. It is said that the son of a highly influential person was taken into custody from Somwarpet on Saturday, while two others, one of whom is the personal assistant of the first person, were arrested on Sunday.

Rumours say that the person arrested on Saturday had some longstanding grudge against Ramakrishna, and that hired killers were paid Rs 15 lac for eliminating the administrative officer. Tug-of-war over college administration is stated to be the reason for this murder. Ramakrishna, who was strict and straight forward, had displeased many because of these traits, people say.

Investigation is being directed by assistant superintendent of police, Dr Rohini Katoch. Although the main accused is said to be a relative of the family running KVG Group of Educational Institutions, exact details are not known, as policemen are tight-lipped. It is felt that the policemen are not prepared to spill the beans, because of the involvement of politically strong personalities in the case, and sensitive nature of the case.

If the police are tight lipped, there should be a law to seal their lips for ever.

In my opinion, even if it is god, they should come clean. Police jobs is to bring out the truth, besides maintaining law & order. The bigger the connection, greater should be the punishment.

Robbers inside the family are more dangerous than outsiders. This is always true.
We only talk about corruption about others not ours. Those who are honest have always paying the price and Ramakrishna A S administrative officer of K V G Medical College is one of those cases.
Majority of the cases, the political party put a lot of influence to dilute the actual facts.
