Udupi: Raid under COTPA – Tobacco control squad slaps fine on 48 outlets

Udupi, Nov 1: Tobacco control squad raided shops, hotels, bars and restaurants and collected Rs 5900 in fine under Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) from 48 outlets of Perampalli, Nittur and Kakkunje of Manipal limits.

Taluk health officer Dr Vasudeva Upadhyaya, senior health inspector Devappa Patagar, zonal health education officer Chandrakala, HC of Manipal police station Naveen, PC Salman han and psychiatrist of district hospital Dinesh Kumar were present.
