Kundapur: Yakshagana Talamaddale, Dr H Shantaram award ceremony held at Bhandarkar's college

Kundapur, Nov 1: The 47th Yakshagana Talamaddale and Dr H Shantaram Yakshagana award ceremony was held at Bhandarkar's College here on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava under the aegis of Avarta Yakshavedike.

Bhavyasree Kulkunda, a young Yakshagana artiste from Tenkuthittu and Prasanna Shettigar Mandarthi, another young artiste from Badaguthittu, were honoured by Dr H Shantaram with the Yakshagana award.

‘Indra Keelaka Urvashi Shapa’ talamaddale was held on the occasion.

Dr N P Narayan Shetty, principal of Bhandarkar's College presided over the programme.

Murali Kadekar, principal secretary of Udupi Yakshagana Kalaranga and P Kishan Hegde of Saligrama Mela delivered the congratulatory speech.

On this occasion, Dr Shubhakarachari, student welfare officer of the Bhandarkar's College and Dr G M Gond, principal of the Bhandarkar's pre-university college were present.

Yajusha, student of Bhandarkar's College compered the programme. Kavya, a student of Bhandarkar's college, gave an introduction.
