Rock-and-roll this weekend in Mumbai

By IANSlife

New Delhi, Nov 4 (IANSlife): After a 9-year-long hiatus, rock music festival, Independence Rock, a.k.a. I-Rock, is making a comeback as Mahindra Independence Rock. The two-day festival has been at the core of the rock movement in the country since 1986. Its new avatar, Mahindra I-Rock, will see an incredible motley of 10 veteran and new-age artists from the Indian rock circuit take the stage.

The first day will witness the homecoming of bands like Pentagram and Zero to the iconic stage alongside Bloodywood, Thaikkudam Bridge, and as we keep searching. Meanwhile, on the second day, seasoned bands, such as Parikrama and Indus Creed, will return with their energetic performances with Avial, Kashmiri-origin band Parvaaz and The F16s all set to deliver mosh-inducing acts that will get your adrenaline pumping.

Furthermore, Bombay Bandook, the winner of the country-wide online band hunt by Mahindra I-Rock powered by Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, will be setting the stage on fire with their opening act on the Jawa Yezdi stage of the festival.

The resurgence of Mahindra Independence Rock promises to be a larger-than-life rendition of India's thriving rock scene and legacy. Revived by its founder Farhad Wadia in association with Hyperlink Brand Solutions and Paytm Insider, Mahindra I-Rock is all set to bring forth a night of high-octane rock and roll on 5th and 6th November 2022 at Mumbai's Bayview Lawns (Princess Dock, Mazgaon).

When: November 5 and 6, 2022

Where: Bayview Lawns (Princess Dock), Mumbai
