Bantwal, Nov 4: Following the submission of a written request by Pudu gram panchayat under the leadership of its president Ramlan Maripalla to KSRTC regarding issues faced by the students and the public on bus transport, KSRTC officials visited the spot on Friday and conducted an inspection.
KSRTC buses used to run without stopping at Farangipete and students and people were facing transport issues as the buses used to be overcrowded. KSRTC officials were requested to solve this issue.
The gram panchayat delegation had also visited MLA U T Khader in this connection and he too had telephoned KSRTC divisional controller Rajesh Shetty and requested him to take up the issue and resolve it.
KSRTC divisional officer Mari Swamy conducted an inspection of the problems. Buses from Puttur, Vitla and Dharmasthala were running to full capacity with passengers and people in this part were finding it hard to get into the buses. Two buses will be introduced to run from Farangipete from Monday itself, assured the official.
KSRTC staff, Pudu gram panchayat president Ramlan Maripalla, district panchayat former member Umar Farook Farangipete and locals were present.
