Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Nov 6: A man assaulted a woman teacher during a parent teacher meeting which was held at Noor Huda Educational Institute near Shamsuddin Circle at Katipalla second block on Friday. The injured teacher is admitted to Padmavati hospital.

Chandrakala, a resident of a locality near Narayana Guru school, is the teacher who was assaulted by Mohammed Hanif. The accused has been arrested by Suratkal police. He has been remanded to judicial custody.

As Chandrakala knew accused Hanif, she had lent money to his wife. However, Hanif’s wife did not return the loan. Chandrakala had asked Hanif’s wife to return the money as she had some urgent need. Hanif, who works overseas, had come down to his native place just two days ago.

During the meeting of parents and teachers at Noor Huda school, a verbal spat ensued between Hanif’s wife and Chandrakala. Hanif who had accompanied his wife, accused the teacher of mentioning his child’s matter during the argument and assaulted Chandrakala. According to police sources, Chandrakala has received severe injury on her right hand.

Lending money to anyone is not a good idea. Never lend money there are so many financial institutions from private/ public banks, non banking financial institutions who are ready to lend money. Pray for a speedy recovery of the teacher.

I have experienced a strange thing in Mangalore. The minute you become friendly they ask for loan money. Returning time they have a problem. If you dont give it is our against teaching that we have to help needy. If you give they dont return and not all are rich enough to do charity. I had lend one lakh to a young boy who was only in twenties for business purpose. When asked to return he didn't only do mockery of me but also didnot return until now since 12 years.

Eva, Kirem, I fully agree with your very sensible comments. It makes sense. But some might not like it, especially those who are regular loan seekers.
