Mangaluru: Cheating contractor over sale of equipment - Accused arrested

Mangaluru, Nov 7: A man, who cheated a city contractor of providing an equipment and took Rs 10 lac in advance, was arrested by north police station personnel.

The accused arrested is Amol Sarjerao Urkude (23), a native of Yodhamaal Radighanv in Maharashtra.

Contractor M Kumaresh from the city had contacted Urkude through his employee Kishore Kumar. The deal was set at Rs 13 lac and Rs 10 lac was paid as advance. When Kumaresh sent his employee Kishore Kumar to bring the equipment from Maharashtra, the accused was not available. His mobile phone was also switched off.

A case of cheating was filed on the accused. Amol was arrested by the police under the guidance of inspector Raghavendra.
