Puttur: St Philomena PU College secures overall championship trophy in district athletic meet

Puttur, Nov 7: Girls Athletic team of St Philomena PU College, Puttur secured the overall championship trophy and boys athletic team bagged the runners up trophy in the Athletic Meet held at Shri Panchalingeshwara PU College, Sulliapadavu.

Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya, physical directors trained the athletics.

The correspondent, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the campus director of St Philomena Institutions, Fr Stany Pinto, the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta and the staff members congratulated the following students:

In Girls Category :

1. Navyashree G (II HEPS) secured 4 Gold medals in 5000m,3000m,1500m and 4x400m Relay.

2. Dimple S Bangera ( II PCMC 'C') secured 3 Gold medals and 1 Bronze Medal in 100m, 200m, Long Jump, 4x100m Relay.

3. M S Chaithanya (II PCMC 'C')secured 2 Gold medals in Triple Jump, 4x100m Relay.

4. Varsha(II SCBA) secured 1 Gold medal and 1 Bronze Medal.

5. Chaithrika M ( II PCMB 'B') secured 2 Gold medals in 100m and 4x100m Relay.

6. Anagha K N (I PCMB 'C') secured 1 Gold medal and 3 Silver medals in 100m, 200m, 400m and 4x100 m Relay.

7. K S Shrivardhana ( I PCMB 'B') secured 2 Gold medals in 3km walk race and 4x100m Relay.

8. Pruthvi ( I ECBA) secured 2 Silver medals in Hammer Throw and Discuss Throw.

9. Drishya ( I PCMB 'B') secured 1 Silver medal and 1 Bronze Medal in Discuss Throw and Javelin Throw.

10 Chaithra Shetty ( II PCMB 'A') secured 1Gold ,1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal in 1500m, 3000m and 4x400m Relay.

11. Krithika (I HEPS) secured Silver medal in 3km walk race .

12. Amritha K (I SCBA) secured Gold medal in 4x400m Relay.

13. Neethi Rai ( I PCMB 'C') secured Silver medal in Shot put.

In Boys Category.

1. Mahesh B ( II SEBA 'A') secured 3 Gold medals and 1 Silver medals in 5000m, 3000m,1500m and 4x400m Relay.

2. Keerthan C ( II SEBA 'A') secured 3 Silver medals and 1 Bronze Medal in 100m, 200m, 400m and 4x100m Relay.

3. Suhas A ( I PCMC)secured 1 Silver medal and 1 Bronze medal in 800m and 4x100m Relay.

4. Ranjith Kumar M( II HEPS) secured Gold medal in Hammer Throw.

5. K R Yashwin ( I SEBA 'B') secured 2 Silver medals in 100m and 4x100m Relay.

6. Hithin K S (II ECBA)secured Bronze medal in Shot put.

7. M Muzammil ( I HEPS) secured Bronze medal in Long jump.

8. Chathur S Naik( II PCMB) secured Silver medal in 800 m.

9. Pushparaj ( I PCMC) secured Silver medal and Bronze medal in 5km Walk race and 4x400m Relay.

10. Adarsh Shetty ( I ECBA) secured Silver medal and Bronze Medal in Triple jump and 4x100m Relay.

11. Shri Harikrishna P ( II SCBA) secured Bronze medal in Javelin Throw.

12. Shravan K P ( I PCMC) secured 4 Silver medals in 5000m, 3000m, 1500m and 4x400m Relay.

13 Lathin Bhandary ( IECBA) secured Gold medal and Bronze medal in Shot put and Discuss Throw.

14. Varon Lewis ( II SEBA 'A') secured Silver medal in Hammer Throw

15. Adithya DD ( I PCMB) secured Silver medal in 4x400m Relay.

Mahesh B ( II SEBA 'A') and Navyashree G ( II HEPS) bagged the individual championship trophy and about 24 students are selected for the District Level Athletic Meet to be held at Alvas College, Moodabidri.
