Kundapur, Nov 7: “Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s administration has misused the government machinery at the inauguration and ground breaking ceremonies of various projects at Mullikatte here on November 7 evening,” alleged former Byndoor MLA K Gopala Poojary.

Addressing a news conference at Hotel Sharon on Monday afternoon he condemned the misuse of the education department saying that it is shameful to force Anganawadi activists and various self-help groups to be present for the programme.

“Including the projects that were concluded during my term as their own is a BJP election gimmick,” he said.

“The Sauda bridge and Kabbinale bridge were sanctioned during my term. Rs 30 crores were released for the Koderi port during Laxminarayana’s term and Rs 33 crores during my term. The truth has been kept hidden by saying that Rs 63 crores is their achievement,” he alleged.

The conference is being held by misusing the government machinery and people of Byndoor have realised it, he said. Vandse block Congress president Pradeep Shetty and Sharath Shetty were present.
