Mangaluru: PhD awarded to Prima Swetha D'Souza from K S Hegde Medical Academy

Mangaluru, Nov 7: Dr Prima Swetha D'Souza, assistant professor, department of anatomy, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte, has been awarded PhD for her thesis ‘Comparing the effect of Acacia Catechu and Adathoda Zeylancia on Biochemical, Genotoxic and Histopathological changes seen in Streptozotocin and Gentamicin induced Nephrotoxicity in rats’ from NITTE (Deemed to be University). 

Prima pursued her doctorate under the guidance of Dr Rajendra Holla, professor and head, department of pharmacology, K S Hegde Medical Academy.

She is the proud daughter of Stany (LIC) D'Souza and Patritia D'Souza of Permannur and wife of Santhosh Deepak D'Souza of Mudipu.

A continuous learner, Prima is a teacher par excellence, an organiser, a music lover and a renowned singer of St Joseph Vaz Church, Mudipu choir unit.
