Nov 7: Dakshina Kannada reports 1 Covid case, 3 infections in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 7: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, November 7, reported one new coronavirus case while three cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,169 out of which 10 are currently active. As many as one patient was discharged on November 7.

No deaths were reported on November 7. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.26 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three coronavirus cases were reported on November 7. The total active Covid cases are 9.

A total of 10,90,833 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,454 have received both doses and 2,97,839 people have received booster doses.

Udupi taluk reported one case while two infections were from Kundapur taluk. All three cases reported were symptomatic.
