Mangaluru: 28-yr-old daily wage earner jumps into well, ends life

Mangaluru, Nov 10: A 28-year-old youth committed suicide in Vamadapadavu on Wednesday night.

The deceased is identified as Lokesh, a resident of Kaudodi in Ajjibettu village. It is said that the victim was working as a daily wage earner and used to consume alcohol.

It is reportedly learnt that Lokesh committed suicide by jumping into a well. A case has been registered at Punjalkatte police station.

    I may sound little harsh, But it is our Indian Culture that is making people to do such acts. I am just speculating " He may have been depressed because he was daily wage earner or people were mistreating or bullying him " .If our culture is more in to educating and helping the poor by setting up community schools like the western society. Things would have been so much better. Our outdated culture is more in to superstitious beliefs and religion.

    @Tester Bangalore ,why arrest them and put in jail becuase one drinks full and suicide ?give out money what he earned?Others should use the lockdown for a change to learn something or do for your health to improve sports .

    Lockdown and covid is leading to more suicides now a days.....Covid health experts and WHO should be arrested and put in jail for imposing lockdown and lockdown causing suicides
