Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Students win accolades in different events

Mangaluru, Nov 10: Exuding confidence, the young budding achievers of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru capped their consistency and carried forward the momentum in winning a number of accolades in different events.

In the 40th BKI National Karate Championship 2022 held from November 4 to 6 at Amrith Garden, Udupi by the Institute of Karate and Allied Arts, Nethan Prathik of grade VIII A bagged the 1st place in Kumite and 2nd in Kata, and Jokitha S of grade VI B won the 3rd place in Kata and Kumite.

In the 1st Invitational National Level Karate Championship ‘COMPETE 3.0’ held on November 6 at ‘Thunder’s Grand Bay’ at Kurkal, Daivik L Kotian of grade V A bagged the 1st place in Kumite and 3rd place in Kata in the above 10 years category and Tanish Anchan of grade IV E won the 3rd place in Kumite in the 9 to 10 years category.

In the Junior Badminton Championship organised by Jeshma Badminton Academy on November 6 at Udupi, Yashas C K of grade VI D bagged the runners up trophy in U-13 category and Daksh D.C of grade V A won the runners up trophy in U-11 category.

In the fourth edition of SAPMUN 2022 held at St Aloysius Pre University College, Mangaluru from November 4 to 6, Mina Akbar of grade XI was awarded the “Best Delegate” trophy for her active participation in the event.

In the “Udayavani Chinna Banna” taluk-level drawing competition held on the occasion of Children’s Day 2022, Piyali S P of grade V D secured the 3rd place in junior category.
