Low pressure in Bay of Bengal - Yellow alert declared in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi on Nov 14

Bengaluru, Nov 12: Various districts of Karnataka will receive moderate rains on November 12 and 13 due to low pressure formation in the Bay of Bengal.

Heavy rains are expected on November 14 in coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada (DK), Udupi and Uttara Kannada. Yellow alert is declared by the meteorological department.

On Friday, Old Mysuru areas of the state saw drizzle throughout the day. Many districts also had cold waves. From Saturday for the next two days, many districts will have cloudy weather with drizzle. Chill will increase. This might affect the health of people.

In the next 24 hours starting from Saturday, many parts of south interior Karnataka will receive light to moderate rain. Similarly, in the coastal region some parts will receive light rain. Dry weather will continue in north interior parts of the state. Cold weather will increase in the south interior part of the state.

On Friday, one or two parts of the south interior received rain. Coastal region and north interior parts recorded dry weather.
