Mangaluru: MGC Composite PU College Bondel celebrates annual day

Mangaluru, Nov 12: Mahatma Gandhi Centenary (MGC) Composite PU College Bondel celebrated its annual day on Saturday November 12.

Dr Vincent Crasta, dean, academic affairs, St Joseph Engineering College, mayor Jayanand Anchan and DDPU Jayanna inaugurated the annual day celebration.

Addressing the gathering, mayor Jayanand Anchan said, “It is a day where the children are eagerly wailting for. It is a platform where they can perform and enjoy every moment in the annual day celebration.”

Dr Vincent Crasta said, “Education is not only the ladder for opportunity, but it is also an investment for your future. Today, the teaching profession has become difficult and a challenging profession. Family nurturing life and living is an apt theme. It is difficult to nurture students for a better family life as they are more inclined towards technology. Today, we need to educate on relationships and how to build good relations.”

Meanwhile, SSLC toppers and achievers in academics were honoured. Students also performed in various cultural events in the annual day celebration.

Principal Sr Succorine Rebello, treasurer MGM Institution Sr Agnes, Sr Helen, headmistress of high school, Sr Sangeetha, headmistress MGC School, Sr Annice, vice-president PTA, Pramila Charan, teacher Sr Lavina and others were present.

Teachers Prema, Hanisha, Sharel and Neema compered the event.
