Byndoor: Foundation stone laid for long-awaited Shankarnarayana Souda bridge

Byndoor, Nov 13: Byndoor MLA Sukumar Shetty said that Varahi river, which supplies drinking water to 40000 people of Byndoor legislative constituency, is as holy as river Ganga.

Sukumar was speaking after laying foundation stone for bridge across Varahi river at Souda of Shankarnarayana village that is being constructed at a cost of Rs 15.42 crore.

Sukumar Shetty said that blessings of Lord Anjaneya is required to block Varahi river and develop the area. He also recalled the contribution of Pratap Chandra Shetty who has put in lots of efforts for the development of Shankaranarayana. By releasing 40 crore grant for Shankaranarayana, it has become the taluk that has got the highest grant under Byndoor legislative constituency.

Sukumar Shetty was felicitated on the occasion. Byndoor BJP president Deepak Kumar Shetty, Shankarnarayana gram panchayat president Latha D S, Hardalli Mandalli gram panchayat president Jagannath, Congress leader Hariprasad Shetty, trustee of Pattabirama temple, Engineer Durgadas, trustee of Shankaranarayana temple, zilla panchayat member Rohit Shetty, contractors Ravikiran D’Costa, Rovan D’Costa, Sharath Shetty Uppunda and Chitte Rajgopal were present.

Ravi Kulal did the introductory speech. Umesh Shetty Kalladde welcomed the gathering and rendered vote of thanks.

    Hurra,foundation is laid for a bridge.with great efforts from ?.Now hope it will be completed also before the Anno 2099ends.The villagers of Byndoor are now happy that before voting beginns.

    till elections..this will be everyday scene...just laying of foundation..the bridge will come up after 15 years...also announcements of hike in salary of govt employees and all sundry category reservation...alll election gimmick..whatever the blue J pigs do...e sala cup nimmadalla...
