Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School celebrates Children's Day

Mangaluru, Nov 14: Lourdes Central School celebrated Children’s Day on November 14 in the school grounds. Staff of LCS had organised a meaningful assembly for the students. The programme started with a prayer song followed by intentions read by Noeleen Pais and Fr Arul Joseph. To begin the programme, Girish S presented the thought for the day.

Guests for the programme were deputy head boy Saaket and deputy head girl Portia.Gretta Menezes welcomed the gathering. A floral tribute was paid to the first Prime Minister of India Pt Jawaharlal Nehru by all the dignitaries. Deepika Fernandes spoke on the imporatnce of celebrating November 14 as children’s day. Theresa Monteiro had words of appreciation for the students.

Principal, Father Robert D’Souza spoke on the occasion and urged the students to be confident and take up their responsibilities. Children’s Day song was presented Ivan Mascarenhas and team.

Spot games were conducted by Lolita, which children enjoyed the most. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks.
