Mangaluru, Nov 14:  IGP, Western Range, Devajyothi Ray has been transferred with immediate effect. Dr Chandra Gupta has been appointed as the new IGP, Western Range.

Dr Chandra Gupta, an IPS officer of 2006 batch was commissioner of Police, Mysuru city prior to this posting.

Devajyothi Ray has been transferred as IGP,  grievances and human rights.
