BJP MP Pratap Simha threatens to demolish 'dome-shaped' bus shelters in Mysuru

Mysuru, Nov 14 (IANS): BJP MP representing the Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency, Pratap Simha, triggered a row on Monday after he issued a warning to the authorities to bring down dome-shaped bus shelters.

Simha threatened that if the concerned engineers fail to do so, he would himself bring a bulldozer and raze them as they look like mosques.

Speaking at a public function in Mysuru, Simha slammed the construction of the dome-shaped bus shelters in the limits of Krishnaraja Assembly constituency in Mysuru.

"If there is a big dome structure with two small domes on either side, it is considered a mosque. I have given three to four days' deadline to the concerned engineers to demolish the structures," Simha stated.

"If they don't demolish them, I will take a JCB myself and bring them down," he added.

"Let us strive towards the development of Mysuru. The kings of Mysuru have passed on a legacy. The administration should work respecting that. All structures should symbolise 'bhakthi' towards goddesses Chamundeshwari," Simha said.

Photos of the bus shelters have gone viral on social media.

Regarding the bus shelter, why particular politician is worried about the domes, first of all try to find out who has created the drawing of the shelter and under which intension he proposed this type of structure with domes. now what is the problem in having the domes on the structure, this is purely nothing but disturbing the present calm atmosphere.

Why does municipality corporation wasting tax payers money by constructing dome or stylish architecture . Simple structure good enough for public who wait for the buses. Mysore MP should have checked & objected when construction was on going .

He belongs to a national party. If he is man enough let him go national and destroy the Taj Mahal, Red Fort and the Qutb Minar. At the end he cannot be blamed as that is the only way to survive and grow in his party.

It’s a public bus stop. If you plan to demolish mosque looking structure then why you need a goddess looking bus stop? Be real leader and do things fare for everyone. Public property be public and gods be in its designated worship places. Please don’t mix and destroy peaceful earth

Who is he to demolish public property? Is it built from his money? If he touches these then public should give such thugs proper treatment. Once proper public treatment is given, their career will end like Low Tuss.

Our PM gives big speeches in foreign countries about our democracy and tolerance . But our these type MLAs are so much filled with venom. I am sure after next election this minister will find JCB operator job to level the land. So he start to practice himself now only to operate JCB. Go and check in some gulf countries they allowed to build temples for your community. And you must learn from them. If you think doing this kind of hatred acts your own community will be in trouble. Because God will not tolerate this and sure your religion is not teaching it

BJP politicians are going out of control by their speech and threatening behaviour just before elections. They want to stir up trouble to polarise one community against another . Has he thought of consequences of his actions and international repercussions ?.AS of now only the group of countries we are in are Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran and North Korea.
