Belthangady, Nov 15: Childhood is a blessing and the most fun filled phase of life. To mark such an occasion Children’s Day was celebrated on November 14 at Anugraha school.
Teachers celebrated the event in an unique way. The joy doubled up when the students were taken out of the classroom for lucky games and tug of war competition. In the afternoon there was cultural programme in the auditorium. The programme began with a prayer service. The principal Fr Vijay Lobo and the correspondent Fr James D’Souza addressed the students and told the students about the importance of the day.
Hemalatha delivered a short speech on the occasion. The staff presented skit, songs and dances. The chief guest Antony Fernandes, vice president of the parish council, gave away the prizes to the winners.
The correspondent Fr James D’Souza, principal Fr Vijay Lobo, Antony Fernandes, vice president of parish council, Ravi Kumar headmaster of the Primary section, Shawn D’Souza, SPL of the high school, Rosa Joy, SPL of the Primary section were present on the stage.
Nisha compered the programme. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Shawn D’Souza.
