Mangaluru: Valedictory function of Expert PU College's annual sports meet-2022 held

Mangaluru, Nov 15: The annual sports meet-2022 of the Expert Pre University College, Valachil came to a glittering close with Vikas Puthran, an international athlete and a fitness model participating in the valedictory function as the chief guest.

In his inspirational address, he said, “Sports helps an individual to excel in every other field including academics. Though someone has to get a prize at the end, no one is a loser in sports because every participant gains greater values from sports.”

He urged the students to follow what they are good at and not to give up until they achieve their goals.

He gave away the prizes to the winners of various events and champions.

Prof Narendra L. Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions presided over the function and congratulated all the winners and participants in various sports events and games. He honoured the chief guest with a memento.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice-chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions, offered a floral welcome to the chief guest.

Ankush N Nayak, Director of IT, Expert Group of Institutions; Deepika A Nayak, architect; Ustad Rafiq Khan, trustee; Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, Principal; Subramanya Udupa, vice-principal (academic) and Raghavendra Shenoy, vvice-principal (admin) were present on the occasion.

Master Prajwal Roodigi, Sports Secretary (Boys) welcomed the dignitaries cordially. Sukanya Gadad, Sports Secretary (Girls) proposed the vote of thanks. Harish Nambiar, lecturer in English compered the programme.
