Kundapur, Nov 17: Two youths of Shivamogga origin were arrested for sexually harassing a minor girl. POCSO case is filed against the accused.

The arrested accused are Praveen (21) and Ajay (19) of Shivamogga. They sexually harassed a girl, who was residing with her grandmother at Airabailu of Siddapur and studying in eighth grade.

The accused arrived at the house of the victim on November 11 and enticed her and took her to the forest area at Menasina Hadi of Airabailu and sexually assaulted her. The girl who was shocked fell unconscious in the forest itself. Locals searched for the girl and got her admitted to Shankaranarayana primary health care centre and later to Kundapur government hospital for higher medical treatment.

Shankaranarayana police station personnel are investigating further.

    Flavian kuwait,just let the girl first be healthy and get out of her shock before she becomes mother.What we hear daily same news.These thugs are behind sexuell assault not thinking of good citizen of this country and bring up Nation .Got tired of hearing these news and feel sad for the girl.Still govt.doesnt take any action but to cows .

    In the forest hide and seek! Report says, the boys lured the teenager and she conceded. Later she realized. Why couldn't she raise alarm or try to resist if that was a forced attempt by the boys?

    @Flavian, There is a valid point in what you said. But, do keep it in mind that "lured" need not necessarily mean what you are thinking. There are different meanings to this word that changes according to the context. For example, sometimes children are kidnapped by "luring" them with chocolates. I hope you got my point.

    The only thing that can stop these menace and then give some kind of relief to the poor girl is delivering very strict punishment to the culprits. Please stop Hindu Muslim and please address the problems as problems; otherwise every single person will suffer, regardless of the caste or religion. Whoever diverts issues based on the caste/ religion is directly responsible to facilitate the crimes against their own people.
